Hey Artz Haus
The community's been quiet all summer, so riddle me this:

What was the biggest thing that happened? The highlight of your summer?

I shook hands with Alice Cooper.

Wow - how did you manage that (Cooper handshake)?

I guess my biggest awesome moment was being in the frontest of the front row at the Tragically Hip concert at Fort York. And seeing my wonderful Weakerthans twice. That was good.

Oh, and I bought tickets to go see Aerosmith in October, but that's not really an actual event, just a very exciting moment.

He was a guest of honour at the Fan Expo in Toronto. I got his autograph, too!

I didn't slit my wrists or take pills or jump from a building when I really wanted to. And now I'm happy that I didn't.

I got fired. Like actual, "you're a nice girl, but this just isn't working out" fired. ...so that wasn't really a 'highlight' so much as a bookmark.

and after a multi-year dry spell I'm finally getting some regular action. hell.yes.

p.s. am also currently using granuaile as a screen name for various things.

O ja? It's a good screen name, I must admit. Kudos on the action.

I got backstage passes to Warped Tour and met the Bouncing Souls and Less than Jake, and briefy NOFX and went Whale watching in the Strait of Georgia (between BC Mainland and Vancouver Island) and saw a superpod of Orcas (60+ whales) and we saw a small pod of Transient whales (orcas, but not the locals) on the hunt and ultimatly get their seal 10 feet in front of us. It was sad, but it was nature at it's most honest.
